Sungi’s approach commendable

Letters

I COMMEND the new Public Service Minister Joe Sungi for clearly outlining the holistic way forward for an effective public service machinery in his recent NBC radio interview.
One of his first assignments is to get rid of political cronyism entertained by his department and the Public Service Commission of a certain department head who is under a 19-month suspension for serious allegations of misconduct in office.
Another political appointee in acting capacity had concurrently ran down that department in question through misapplication of resources without any delivery of policies and projects over three years.
Those past and present ministers responsible for abetting cronyism have brought shame and curses upon themselves for failing this country.
