SUPERANNUATION fund Nambawan Super Ltd is again supporting the Institute of Internal Auditors in its efforts to stage the 2012 annual conference this month.
Nambawan Super presented a cheque for K2,000 to institute vice-president, Joseph Abaka last week.
Abaka said the money would help his committee finalise preparations for the conference that would be held at the Holiday Inn from September 20 to 21.
“We are grateful for Nambawan Super’s contribution. It will help stage a conference that will challenge audit professionals to look beyond the realm of internal auditing as a profession globally and identify how it can add value to corporate governance, transparency and accountability,” Abaka said.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Internal Auditors approach to corporate governance’ and will feature presentations by overseas and local speakers.
Two hundred participants from financial, information technology, accounting, government, non-government and private organisations and others from all over the country will attend.
