SUPER fund, Nambawan Super Ltd, has given K3,000 to the PNG Paralympics Committee to participate in the 2012 London Games.
The PNG Paralympics team will use the money for their fundraising activities.
The NSL project and public relations manager Jeffery Levongo presented the money to Paralympics representative and senior athlete Elias Lari yesterday at their head office in downtown, Port Moresby.
Levongo, who spoke on behalf of acting managing director Paul Yangen, said more than 700,000 people living with disabilities in PNG were often neglected.
He is calling on other government stakeholders to support persons with disabilities.
Levongo said these people had the same rights as any one else and expected to be treated equally.
He gave credit to the committee for performing well in the Beijing and Arafura games describing their performance as outstanding.
PNG Paralympic Committee chairman Dr Kefu Ma said the donations would go a long way to supporting the team.
Lari thanked the NSL for their continued sponsorship towards the sports.
The Olympic Games in London will be held on Aug 29 to Sept 9.
The PNG Paralympics had an excellent record performing well at the Beijing Paralympics in 2008 and won 13 medals at the Arafura Games.
The team is made of participants from Bougainville, Rabaul, Mt Hagen, Lae East and West Sepik and Port Moresby.
