Super fund stages awareness

 NAMBAWAN Super Ltd (NSL) held its 2014 Employers’ conference yesterday to make awareness to NSL members on the fund’s developments. 

Chief executive Garry Tunstall said the conference was sort of an awareness to get all employers to submit contributions through electronic format as well as for NSL to get feedback on how it can improve in future.

While presenting on NSL’s highlights in past year, Tunstall said a total of 126 employers were contributing electronically on behalf of over 100,000 members while 167 employers were not contributing.

He said a total of 15 branches were established throughout the country with 139,000 as members.

Tunstall added that NSL has K4.3 billion in assets with K600 million assets grew during the past year alone.

He said members’ contributions stands at K413 million with K299 million paid to members during that year with 11.25% credited to member accounts for the year. 

He said some of the things they have created to develop value for members include;

l Mass production of 70,000 pre-print ID cards and statements to be distributed starting second week of May;

  • annual report production and distribution from second week of May 
  • launch of Choice Super to capture those excluded by the superannuation net; and,
  • Increasing the level of member engagement and awareness, through marketing and media promotions, shop floor presentations.
