ALL Port Moresby Soccer Association Super League games for this weekend have been suspended in light of a tragic road accident involving several members of the Mungkas club.
Super League chairman Wayne Taylor said several Mungkas players, including Madang import Adrian Komu, Mathew Charles and Septeen Tsuga were attacked by aggrieved by-standers after the vehicle they were travelling in hit and killed a woman on Saturday night at China Town in East Boroko.
All are said to be in critical condition and were initially admitted to the Port Moresby General Hospital.
Taylor said according to reports he received, upon the accident an angry mob attacked the vehicle’s occupants.
He said the retaliation was excessive and as a result all are fighting for the lives.
Taylor said Tsuga is on life support and has not regained consciousness while Komu, who underwent emergency surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain, is in a similar condition.
Attempts to contact PMSA president and father of Septeen, Russell Tsuga yesterday were unsuccessful.
