NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loan Society members in Popondetta, Northern, can now use their Poro Cards on the NCSL point of sale (POS) terminals.
NCSL chief executive Vari Lahui was in Popondetta recently to visit of the biggest employers in the province, Higaturu Oil Palm, a subsidiary of New Britain Palm Oil Ltd.
NCSL also installed its Eft-pos terminals in locations in the town.
Lahui said there were four NCSL POS terminals in Popondetta installed at City Pharmacy, Hardware Haus, One Supermarket and YC Trading.
“When paying for shopping on the NCSL PoS terminals, members using the NCSL’s Poro card will only be charged 25t for every purchase,” he said. Other business houses operating in the province have also expressed interest in becoming merchants.
Lahui also visited workers at the Sambogo Estate.
Because of the keen interest shown, NCSL and Nasfund will do awareness in all around the country.
