FORTY boxes of medical supplies were delivered by LD Logistics to a remote health centre in Josephstaal in the Middle Ramu district of Madang.

LD Logistics, a nationally-owned company, has been engaged by the Health Department to deliver supplies to health centres and hospitals to some of the remotest parts of the country.

LD Logistics officer Harry Langong said the people in remote Josepstaal welcomed the delivery of the supplies last week.

“Most times the mode of transport used is by plane, but in this case we airlifted the supplies by helicopter from Heli Niugini.

“The road conditions to Josephstaal were impossible (to use) and after several attempts we opted to go by air,” Langong said.
