OPPOSITION leader Belden Namah’s bid to challenge the legality of the Manus asylum seekers centre is expected to be heard in the Supreme Court in Port Moresby today.
All matters before the supreme, national and district courts on Monday were deferred to today because members of the legal fraternity were attending the opening of the 2013 legal year.
Matters listed for the Waigani courts resumed yesterday except for the election petition cases.
A notice from the national court registry advised that election petition cases had been deferred.
