THE bemobile back-to-school promotion has a surprise winner this week, a Canadian emergency coordinator with Medecins Sans Frontieres (doctors without borders).
David Croft is on a three-month contract working with the cholera emergency response team in Angoram, East Sepik province.
Mr Croft’s name was picked and he is one of the 1,000 lucky winners to win K500 since the competition started on Jan 11. It ended yesterday.
“I was hoping to give some of the money to the school at Kambaramba which we used as a cholera treatment unit, but I will not be going back so I will take the team out for dinner instead,” an overwhelmed Mr Croft said.
He said bemobile was being great all over the place, however, he pointed out that it still needs to do more work at Angoram.
Another winner, Marc Mulungu, commended bemobile for coming up with a promotion that assisted in the area of school fees.
“I am delighted with this promotion that bemobile is running as it portrays bemobile’s altruism towards its customers.
“I, for one, have been a bemobile customer and will never switch as long as I am alive,” he said.
