KOPI tribesmen living near Mt Hagen city have handed over a murder suspect to police.
The 60-year-old is suspected to have been involved in the killing of a youth from Jiwaka two weeks ago.
The Kopi tribesmen led by councillor Peter Raim handed the man to police because they did not want to be enemies with people in Jiwaka.
The youth died following a row between two women over Facebook.
During the incident many others sustained injuries and store goods and vehicles were destroyed.
Raim said at a peace talk last Thursday that he promised the relatives of the deceased that he would hand the suspect to police yesterday.
