POLICE have arrested two suspected bank card thieves in Madang town, provincial commander Supt Mazuc Rubiang says.
“Police started monitoring the duo’s movements after several police reports were lodged,” he
said.
“They were arrested last week.”
Police arrested two suspects, who on several occasions loitered around Madang town.
Supt Rubiang said many victims had reported the duo and warned others not to emulate them because “our network with the public in town is good and you will not escape”.
Supt Rubiang thanked the public who identified the suspects that led to the arrest of the duo.
He said another suspect who used a retired teacher’s card was still on the run but “we will catch him soon”.
“It is better to surrender to the police because you might be hurt if you run into family members of victims,” he said.
