PUBLIC health facilities in the National Capital District (NCD) are doing swabbing for the Covid-19 testing, an official says.
St John Ambulance (SJA) chief executive officer and chairman of the NCD public health committee Matt Cannon said the SJA drive-thru testing, which stopped last Monday, although not confirmed, would possibly resume this week operating from Rita Flynn.
He said the drive-thru conducted free swabbing for the public with samples sent to the Central public health laboratory with results available after 30 days.
Cannon said for those who needed faster results, samples would be sent to an authorised private laboratory with a result returned in 24 hours.
The cost attached is K650 for PNG citizens and K750 for a non-citizens while home-testing would cost K850 for anyone.
