Take care at night, women warned

 POLICE in Northern have appealed to women not to walk alone at night.

Northern provincial police commander Victor Isouve made the call following an attack on a woman at Guba compound in Popondetta town on Tuesday night.

“Our girls and women must take extra care in the night,” he said.

“If they want to walk in the night, they must walk in groups with men escorting them.”

He urged girls and women in Northern to stay at home at night. 

“Our girls and women must stay in their houses with their families after 7pm,” Isouve said.

Isouve said a man had grabbed the woman aged 22 as she was walking alone at10pm.

“He was trying to remove her clothes when he was disturbed by another man walking along the same track,” Isouve said.
