THE Mustard Seed Bible School will finally be built after the Lutheran Revival Church secured the title to a 1.5 hectare piece of land in Bulolo – after 10 years.
Church members attended the ground-breaking ceremony in Bulolo signalling the start of the construction of the new school.
National church treasurer Doma Ben Tobias said it had been a long process which took years to secure from the Lands Department.
Wau-Bulolo Urban LLG mayor Sogga Gaumina commited K2,000 from the LLG unconditional grant to support the construction.
“I supported the church during the process of surveying the land despite many critics,” he said.
School principal Pastor Robert Beube said the last graduation was in Lae in 2006 and he was happy to see it established in Bulolo.
“The two-year programme for the pastors training will commence this year. Other short courses or evening classes will also be held for working class people and laymen,” Beube said.
“I will send out applications to the churches to be distributed to church members.”
Church general secretary Wilson Ubulea said the church had grown and the Mustard Seed Bible School was one of its initiatives of the church to train pastors.
“Today is the day of jubilation for the church to continue with its evangelism programme to train more workers and send them out into the field,” he said.
The church national executives and Bulolo district leaders attended the event.
