Talks in progress for BSP to operate in Vanuatu

 VANUATU Reserve Bank is reportedly facilitating an agreement to allow Bank South Pacific to operate in the country.

The Vanuatu Daily Post said Prime Ministers Peter O’Neill and Sato Kilman were holding discussions over the issue, which won favour from Kilman’s cabinet.

O’Neill and Kilman, were reportedly discussing how the Pacific could be connected through the establishment of infrastructures in island states, the setting up of regional air services and a shipping line.

Other issues Kilman would raise at the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders meeting was increasing economic returns from fisheries, climate change, West Papua, cervical cancer, Foreign Affairs Ministers meeting and whether  Tahiti be granted full forum membership.
