NORTHERN Governor Suckling Tamanabae has brushed aside media claims by Kokoda Trail and Adventure Trekking owner Fr Roderick Vana that there was no allocation of funding for tourism in the K410 million blanket cover grant for Northern.
“In the five year development plan that we have set up for Northern, all facets and aspects of development is covered, including tourism.
“The K410 million blanket approval cover grant and the allocation of funds I announced during the New Year celebrations for provincial improvement programme, recovery, health, police and agriculture sectors are drawn down according to government priorities,” he said.
