Tarangau get boost for finals

HEKARI Tarangau received a timely sponsorship of K15,000 courtesy of their sponsors, Hekari Holdings as they prepare for this year’s SP Port Moresby Rugby League finals starting next weekend.
Group executive officer John Kapi Natto yesterday afternoon handed over the funds to Tarangau RFL club president Danny Emiabo at the Hekari Holding headquarters in Port Moresby.
Kapi Natto apologised for delaying the sponsorship for number of reasons –  the untimely passing of his late father, Sir Kapi Natto – and also the business climate was unfavourable at that time.
He hoped the small contribution would be sufficient for the club’s preparations for the finals.
He also congratulated Hekari Tarangau for winning the minor premiership in the Port Moresby rugby league this year.
“I believe if my father were still alive, he would have pushed me to hand your sponsorship early but may be because he was not present, therefore it was delayed,” Kapi Natto said.
He said he would continue to support Hekari Tarangau in the coming season in memory of his later father.
While thanking Hekari Holdings, Emiabo said the sponsorship would boost the morale of the players leading into the finals.
He said Tarangau would play their final game against MS Wagambie Paga Panthers and were working towards the knockouts.
