Tarangau too good

TARANGAU weathered a Magani storm to get an 8-4 win in Port Moresby Women’s Rugby League competition at Ipi Park, Hohola, yesterday.
In windy and dusty conditions, Tarangau scored two tries in the first half to Magani’s one in the secondhalf.
Tarangau’s tries came from Joan Gole and Irene Torepa, while the opposition try to Christine Geno.
Magani were the better side but were unlucky to lose.
Players like Janet Johns, captain Mary Kelly, Geno, Jennifer Kauga and Ethel Pasio matched up with opposition skipper Ruth Kawage, Torepa, Sophie Onglugo, Ludy Kuria and Angeline Moree in an action packed encounter enjoyed by a big crowd.
