PAPUA New Guinea is a highly taxed country.
Some big companies are on tax holidays, but small nationally registered companies are not provided the subsidies they need to perform better.
Some of our highly educated people working in the public service are paying heavy tax and that is one reason they get involved in corrupt deals.
Also, the purchasing power of the kina is down and when you go to the stores, you spend a lot of money to buy less.
I suggest the government stop getting more loans.
Real loans, the rates and even the arrears for the previous loans have not been settled.
