TB Awareness

National, Normal

TB Awareness … Students must be aware about diseases like Tuberculosis (TB) in order to help educate their families and communities to prevent its spread. Jubilee Catholic Secondary School students in Port Moresby were warned that TB did not discriminate and it affects everyone. They had the chance to learn the basics of TB in an awareness campaign by World Vision International’s Tuberculosis programme advocacy team when they visited the school this week. Jubilee Secondary is the first of five other secondary schools chosen for the awareness campaign. The five schools will take part in a poster competition to design posters aimed at educating their communities about TB. The winner of the competition will have his or her design published as a glossy poster in The National on World TB day.
