A PRIMARY school teacher in Rigo district, Central province, wants the provincial education board to act against his colleague for using his name to make press statements on the annual leave fare issue.
John Kaupa, a senior teacher at Lebagoro Primary School, told The National that his name had been used by a colleague to raise concerns against the Central provincial education division for delays in processing outstanding leave fares for teachers during the Christmas
holiday.
“I didn’t come to The National newspaper office to issue a statement on the issue.
“It was the colleague who used my name.
“He decided to use my name without my knowledge,” Mr Kaupa said.
He urged the board to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against his colleague.
“He also used the school headmaster’s name, thereby tarnishing the image of the provincial education division,” he added.
