TWENTY-six-year-old Leo Jason from Gasmata in West New Britain Province has asked the Commission of Inquiry into the sinking of the mv Rabaul Queen what good he and other victims of the Feb 2 disaster will get out of it.
The primary school teacher appeared before the inquiry last Friday to give evidence.
He told the inquiry he had been travelling with his wife Trisha, also a teacher, when the ship sank.
The couple taught at Korepa Primary School, Daulo district,  Eastern Highlands province.
They have a nine-month-old daughter, Leetrina, who was left behind with the grandparents in Rabaul.
Jason said it was heartbreaking for him and other survivors to lose loved ones at sea.
But he has not lost hope and is positive that the inquiry headed by judge Warwick Andrew will find those responsible and bring them to justice.
