Teachers are vital assets, says Kua

TEACHERS are important assets in schools and the education system, Justice and Attorney-General Minister Kerenga Kua says.
“Teachers are important assets for, without them, schools and the education system cannot achieve their missions and visions.
“It is paramount to cater for teachers’ needs and welfare in schools,” Kua said.
The Sinasina-Yongomugl MP made the remark while cutting ribbons to open two teachers’ houses at Muaina Secondary School in the district yesterday.
He commended the school under the guidance of principal Philip Launa and board chairman Andrew Ninkama for taking the initiative to improve living conditions for teachers at the school.
He said it was good to see how the school economise its limited financial resource to build teachers’ houses.
