Teachers learn secrets of getting students to love classrooms

The classroom is a reflection of the teacher’s mind and how it is presented can determine the level of learning that can be achieved, says an official.
Deputy principal academic of Balob Teachers’ College in Lae, Hillary Siamoli, said this during a classroom simulation programme on Friday.
“The classroom simulation here at Balob replaces the past similar programme which was called professional internship,” she said. “The aim is to acquaint year-three students with the idea of administering a classroom and this gives them the opportunity to set up a model classroom that is conducive to students’ learning in the field.”
“The challenge to students after receiving diploma will be meaningless if the activities done to qualify them are not implemented in the school for the benefit of the people of Papua New Guinea.”
