Teachers need to rotate

Letters

ONE of the contributing factors to the falling education standard is the posting of teachers.
Teachers are posted to one school for too long that they do not have the chances to refresh themselves.
These teachers are using the same old teaching approaches, methods, techniques and the teaching programmes.
Otherwise, they only cut-and-paste the same old ideas when they move to a different grade.
Teachers have to be rotating yearly or biannually.
A farmer will not grow corn on the same ground year-in and year-out.
A shepherd, likewise, will not feed sheep on the same plot for a month.
The National Capital District is another little Papua New Guinea. Therefore, members of the community who own the school, should be given priority to recommend the head teacher through the parents and citizens committee.
