Teachers’ pay cuts

Letters

THE 400 teachers who have had their pay cut fraudulently as indicated by the PNG Teachers’ Association general secretary Ugwalubu Mowana are only those who have come out to report the case.
I believe there are many other teachers out there who are unable to report their case due to work commitment, the remoteness of their location or inaccessibility to the right authorities.
The pay cut is a slap in the face for the teachers who have been blamed for everything that is going wrong in the education system.
If the pay cut is faced by more than the number mentioned then I think that will affect the quality of education the government is trying to achieve.
If the pay cut is not fraudulent or online scam as claimed, then what is it?
Over to you Teaching Service Commission, Education Department and the Alesco pay roll system. Please investigate.
