Teachers should be honest, consistent

Letters

SCHOOLS today are not like before where students learn in a conducive environment.
A lot has changed.
Schools have become ineffective.
Most primary school graduates end up in the streets.
They are not able to achieve their dreams because the system doesn’t give them much choice.
One contributing factor to that are our teachers.
It’s possible that some teachers don’t ensure students realise their potential and guide them towards achieving their dreams.
According to a research that was done in the United Kingdom, 98 per cent of the students’ time is spent with teachers.
I believe this is the same with all countries.
So it is fair to say that students’ futures mostly depend on teachers.
Therefore, teachers should mold and shape students to be the people they want to be in the future.
This country’s development depends on our human resources.
That’s why our teachers have to perform their duties with honesty and consistency.
