TEACHERS in Enga are calling on the Electoral Commission to release the election results of the Papua New Guinea Teachers Association (PNGTA) executives.
PNGTA Enga branch president Mark Sakol said that teachers were still confused about the election results.
Sakol said that the election was held in March and it is taking too long for the results to be released.
“We are still waiting for the results to be given to us and this is something I, on behalf of the teachers, am calling on the Electoral Commission to look into.
“My teachers are still in the dark and want to know because we will need our representatives,” Sakol said.
He said that the representative from the PNGTA executives would represent the teachers at the provincial education board.
Sakol said teachers also needed representatives in the PNGTA so that their interests were represented.
“I’m appealing to the Electoral Commission to release the election results for the PNGTA executives,” Sakol said.
