Team Central will miss disable athlete

PARALYMPIC team manager for Team Central, Ripa Kalamo, yesterday described the death of Madang’s veteran disable athlete, Wetas Basur, as the biggest lost for disability sports in Papua New Guinea.
Kalamo said this when passing his condolences through The National on behalf of disable athletes of Team Central, who the late Basur competed against during the recent PNG Games in Port Moresby.
Basur took part in the field events.
According to Kalamo, during the PNG Games the team came to meet Basur and formed a close relationship with her.
