Team Morobe still stranded

Letters

I READ with interest the status of some Team Morobe athletes who are still stranded at Kimbe.
We learnt that Team Morobe was one of the most organised in terms in terms of logistics and other necessities as required for the games.
We also understand that the Morobe provincial government paid for the transportation of five vehicles and a container filled with frozen goods which were shipped to Kimbe.
What astonishes me is the high cost incurred to freight the vehicles and the container to Kimbe as if there are no vehicles and frozen goods in Kimbe.
Rational judgment could have saved a lot of money which could have been sufficient to make two return trips for the whole of the Morobe contingent to Kimbe.
Both the national and provincial accounts have already closed, so it looks gloomy for the stranded athletes to celebrate this festive season with their families here in Morobe.
