Team Sepik raises K150,000

MORE than K150,000 was raised for Team Sepik in preparation for the PNG Games that will be held this November in Kokopo, East New Britain province.
The money was raised during the launching of Team Sepik at Moem Barracks in Wewak last Friday.
A total of K156,000 was raised during the launching.
Out of the total amount contributed, the ESP Government through the office of the Governor Peter Wararu pledged K100,000 while ESP administration through its divisional heads pledged the other K19,600.
Contributions totaling K36,400 came from the business houses.
Apart from the total amount raised, another K48,000 is expected to be collected by team Sepik committee from the table fees.
Chairman of Team Sepik John Hulu thanked all the business houses and both the provincial government and administration for their support and contributions.
