EDUCATION has no end and we want to acquire life saving skills despite the position we hold in the society, Gospel Church Pastor Hosea Mundra says.

Mundra, Body of Christ Pastor Jeffery Mandea and Topel Ward councillor Micheal Purinj were among the 215 students who graduated last Thursday at the Kepi Technical Vocational Education Training School in Ialibu, Southern Highlands.

They received certificates in carpentry and joinery.

Purinji said: “My dream is to be enrolled at a technical college. Although I am a councillor, I need to have some skills like that. Though I am old, education is for everyone and there is no barrier.” He said the three spent time in the community and churches and were happy to achieve their dreams.

School manageress Barbara Janget said the trio were hardworking and committed students.

Ialibu town mayor Jacob Iki, who had allocated K40,000 for a classroom at the school, said wise and prudent management had resulted in many students graduating.

He said the school enrolled students from Kagua-Erave, Imbongu and Ialibu-Pangia districts.

He called on MPs from the districts to fund the school as it was providing training to people from their electorates.
