AUSTRALIAN public-listed software provider, TechnologyOne, will be in Port Moresby this week for its annual customer “Solution Showcase” to promote new functions to potential and existing customers.
TechnologyOne regional manager, South Pacific, Paul Stapleton said taking the showcase to Port Moresby was a significant step for the company, as well as an indication of the burgeoning customer base in the South Pacific region.
He said this was an important milestone for TechnologyOne, signifying their commitment to PNG customers and in particular, the importance placed on the South Pacific market for future growth plans.
TechnologyOne counts a number of high profile Papua New Guinea organisations as customers, including the government, PNG Ports Corporation and National Research Institute (NRI).
In the region, customers include the Forum Fisheries in Solomon Islands, the Samoan ministry of finance and the public service commission, and other customers in the Republic of Nauru.
“We’ve recently successfully implemented human resources and payroll of PNG Ports Corporation and we have a number of projects on the go, such as implementing an electronic document management system at the NRI,” Stapleton said.
The move to add PNG to the annual Solution Showcase roadshow came as the company prepared to open its first office in the country next month.
