A TEENAGER has been appeared in court charged with unlawful wounding.
The Waigani Committal Court yesterday adjourned the case on Atu Moina, 18, from Bunimaina village, in Central, to April 24 for mention.
Magistrate Cosmas Bidar told Moina that since his case was a new one, the court should give police prosecutors time to finalise their investigations.
“The investigations will take time so you will be in custody at Bomana while you wait for your next court appearance,” Bidar told Moina in court.
Moina was transferred to the committal court from the Juvenile Court after it was confirmed that he was over 16.
According to the prosecutor’s reports, Moina was in possession of a bush knife when he wounded another person last January at Rabiagini, in Badili.
