DIGICEL customers can access the internet for even less with the introduction of three new Data Pass bundles.

The mobile phone company said in a media statement yesterday that with the lowest rate per megabyte in the market for mobile internet, customers can now choose to subscribe to three available data passes, the ‘Day’, ‘Weekly’ and ‘Monthly’ Pass.

“For K1.39 subscribers to the Day Pass get 10MB of data valid for 24 hours,” the statement said.

“Customers subscribing to the Weekly Pass will receive 40MB valid for seven days for K5, while the Monthly Pass pay K50 to get 500MB valid for 30 days.

“The per megabyte rate reduces as the bundle size increases.”

Customers can also now subscribe as many times as they like should they need more data.

With the widest 3G coverage in PNG customers can purchase their bundles by simply texting to a shortcode and enjoy lower data rates.

Digicel PNG CEO John Mangos said: ‘We recognise that most Papua New Guineans are accessing the internet from a Digicel mobile and we are always looking for ways to provide more value for our customers.”

“We are delighted to have launched the Data Pass bundles which allow our customers to choose which pass suits them best. With these new data bundles we are providing customers with fast and easy Internet access on their mobile devices.”
