Telikom boosts internet services

TELIKOM PNG Ltd’s extensive network which provides the most reliable internet bandwidth for residential, institutional and business customers will now receive a boost to its internet services after the company launched its Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) System at the Lae International hotel yesterday.
The OPGW system, which is a partnership product between Telikom PNG and PNG Power Ltd that was tested and commissioned eight months ago, is a project that will enable the company’s clients to access internet services at a faster speed.
With an outlook to moving forward in the globally competitive market and with the newly introduced e-commerce within PNG’s economy, Telikom PNG envisages that by 2020, the company will provide affordable, quality and reliable connection services accessible for everyone.
Minister for State and Public Enterprises Sir Mekere Morauta launched the system.
The system will be cost effective.
