THE Telikom PNG will install a new PBX system at the Department of Lands and Physical Planning (DLPP) to enhance its communication system for better service delivery.

The deal was announced during a presentation of a cheque for K545,558 by DLPP secretary Romilly Kila Pat to Telikom this week.

Pat said communication was a core part of business and the department had taken a new turn to modernise its communication system to deliver service to clients efficiently.

“We want to deliver efficient services using the latest technology in partnership with state-owned enterprises such as Telikom.”

Division business manager regions Jesse Gedisa thanked DLPP for having confidence in Telikom to boost its communication facilities.

“Telikom PBX system is a unified communication, which helps employees, business partners and customers connect, communicate and conduct business in real time.

“Whether across the room or across the globe, collaboration happens instantly in an atmosphere best suited for parties involved,” Gedisa said.

“The state-of-art PBX system has mobile solutions, conferencing, collaboration, and unified messaging features, which are ideal for departments such as DLPP.”

“The installation of the PBX system will follow soon at DLPP’s new office complex and Telikom will offer after sale support,” Gedisa added.
