Telikom launches clean IT project

STUDENTS of Gerehu Secondary School, in the nation’s capital, are thrilled at the Telikom Foundation launching its Clean Internet Technology project teachers and students.
School principal Ula Pokana said internet access was vital to enhancing learning for their students and the presentation by the foundation could not have come at a better time.
The foundation’s board of trustee and reputable sports figure Sir John Dawanincura challenged the students to take pride in the foundation’s effort to improve their education.
“It is the foundation’s objective to transform the lives of our school children to value ethics and uphold moral values within the societies they live in.
“Telikom Foundation is driven with the mission of promoting literacy through ICT-enabled solutions for children that today’s launch of the CleanIT has come about,” Sir John said.
The students were keen to start using the internet to do assignments and research.
The students said the project would make learning more fun and convenient.
