Telikom marks 56 years

TELIKOM PNG Ltd says it has the infrastructure and qualified personnel to make bigger inroads into the telecommunications industry in the country.
Telikom’s chief commercial officer Ajay Marthur said at the organisation’s 56th anniversary in Lae, Morobe, last Friday there had been many changes since the entity’s inception and with current competition, staff of Telikom have adapted and stayed abreast of change.
He said with the initiation of their latest product citifon a month ago, the company had acquired 54% of the mobile phone market for June which translated to an increased revenue of K5 million.
Marthur said this indicated sustained performance and growth and he urged staff to set the next level of milestones both for themselves and the company.
He urged them not to be passengers but to be drivers of change.
He said celebrations should not occur yearly only but also when there are successes in sales and other achievements as well.
All Lae staff took the day off from work to celebrate Telikom’s 56th anniversary at the Sir Ignatius Kilage stadium.
