IT will be the clash of the two top spot contending teams in this Saturday’s Port Moresby Netball premier competition at the Rita Flynn Netball Courts.

Esco Telstars will go up against the City Pharmacy Rebels in POMNA’s main match.

In the other premier matches, Monier Paramana take on Global Construction Aroma Coast. The Aroma Coast girls will try to take down their coastline rivals.

Veupunama will once send in the bulk of their strong team to face the unbeatable Snax Mermaids while Raukele and Digicel Sparrows go head to head in the afternoon match.

POMNA’s defending champions Telstars have been struggling for form. They lost to the Mermaids 45-43 in a close but tough match last weekend.

Known for their strength in all departments, Telstars have missed the services of defenders Raka Nope and Julienne Diro along with nifty mid-courter Emily Maha.

In place of the three absentees, upcoming talents in the likes of Philomena Naime, Kimberly Alex and Florence Genolagani have contributed well to bolster their team in the absence of their key players.

While their shooters Gamini Koroka and Albertine Ehari continued to dominate in the premier competition, this Saturday’s match is expected to be a tough one as they race for shots against Rebels key shooters Lua Rikis and youngster Caroline Pirika.
