Telstars, Mermaids in eliminator with winners to advance to preliminary final

NAS Telstars face an experienced Snax Mermaids in the Port Moresby Netball Association competition premier division elimination final at the Rita Flynn Netball Complex tomorrow.
The major semifinal between minor premiers Credit Corporation Sparrows and City Pharmacy Rebels was deferred because several of their players are representing the country in the Maleos mixed team against the Australian Sonix in the Trans Pacific Cup series at the Sir John Guise Stadium this weekend.
In the eliminator, Telstars have a big task trying to beat Mermaids with winner advanceing to the preliminary final against the loser of Sparrows-Rebels clash with the date of that match yet to be confirmed.
Telstars coach Veitu Diro will rely on shooters Boio Peter and veteran Gamini Koroka while Mermaids coach Richardah Kassman has national stars Rayleen Andrew and Jeperth Tulapi in the shooting circle.
Mermaids seem to have the edge in the shooting but Telstars can turn the tables on them if their mid-court can limit the ball getting to Andrew and Tulapi.
