Tenants at Ples hostel suffering

THE Ples hostel in Kamkumung along Independence Drive is becoming an eyesore for its tenants.
I call on the landlord to reconnect the water and clean up the place.
The hostel has been without water for almost a week. Our neighbours have water so the pipe is not broken.
It is sad to see tenants taking empty containers to work so they can collect water.
The male and female ablution blocks
are becoming a health hazard and, to make things worse, the landlord is
allowing his animals to roam freely.
We feel cheated as we are paying full rental fees without basic services being provided and being forced to live with animals.
I call on the health authorities to inspect the hostel.
The landlord must also explain what is going on. Did PNG Waterboard turn off the tap because he failed to pay the bills?
