A PERSON living with disability is planning to contest the Western Highlands seat in the June election.
Wayne Tepra, from Mt Hagen was injured in a car accident 15 years ago.
Tepra believes he is quite capable of representing his people and is exercising his democratic right to do so.
He also believes that God selects leaders and judges for their inner qualities and not because of their physical appearance.
He said honesty and justice were two important virtues that people must consider when choosing their leaders.
“My election platform is based on these two virtues because without them leaders cannot deliver the end result which is service,” he said.
He said PNG was in desperate need of honest and quality leaders so people must make their decisions wisely.
Tepra thanked the Electoral Commission for paying more attention to the plight of disabled people in terms of their enrollment and the allocation of special booths for them during polling.
