PRIME Minister James Marape has told the people of Tewae-Siassi district in Morobe to use their land and support development.
He received the district’s five-year development plan at the Wasu Government Station last Thursday.
In turn, K5.5 million was given to Tewae-Siassi MP Dr Kobby Bomareo for the K3mil construction of a new district office, K2mil for water projects and K500,000 for the district market.
Marape urged the people to ensure that the plan was implemented “to the letter, one step at a time”.
He urged them to maintain law and order as they would not benefit from services if there was no security.
Marape also urged the people to send their children to school.
“The country has a lot of potential and it must change,” Marape said.
He said the people owned 95 percent of the land which they should use. The Government will try to find markets for their produce.
“We will buy straight from you so you make good money and not lose money through third parties.”
