Thank you for supporting walkathon

Letters

THE Dogura cathedral restoration committee, on behalf of its walkathon team, wishes to acknowledge those who supported in their journey by foot from Dogura via Alotau, along the Central coastline into Port Moresby.
We wish to acknowledge the following among the many that supported us:

  • SONS and daughters of Dogura living in Port Moresby;
  • CAPE Vogel, Wedau and the Oro Anglican congregation;
  • ST Johns Anglican parish for accommodating our team;
  • BEGABARI chapel, North Waigani, for providing us a fundraising venue;
  • THE ministers, pastors, community leaders and congregation of the United church along the Abau, Aroma and Rigo coastline for your hospitality during our two week walk;
  • SUAU United church escorts for leading us along the coast;
  • INDIVIDUALS who donated funds towards our cause; and,
  • THE hearty support of the Anglican community along the walkathon route.

The walkathon has been the debut of what will be a series of fundraising activities in the coming years.
All proceeds will go towards the restoration exercise of the monumental Dogura Cathedral.
Our walk to the Nation’s Capital saw us raise over K8,000.
We once again give our heartfelt appreciation to those who supported us and pray God’s continued blessings and guidance in your various walks of life.
