Thank you Grand Chief for Hela

Letters

I REMEMBER two things from the 1977 national elections at Gaulim Teachers College.
If you want to be a leader, you should know your people’s pain, aspirations and desires.
You should eat, sleep, work, cry, laugh, live and celebrate with your people.
You should be able to speak and stand up for them when needed.
Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare stood for all of us.
Now, the world recognises us as Papua New Guineans.
We, the Hela people, will remember you Grand Chief forever for granting us our province.
