Thank you teachers

Letters

OUR teachers are the lights of the world, beacons in the dark and the hope that give us strength to dream.
Oct 5 is International Teachers Day.
It is the day to honour the gifted souls who work every day to make sure that the future is bright for all of us.
Indeed, it is a blessed biblical profession where one makes no mistake in choosing teaching as his/her career.
Let me convey my deepest wishes to all our teachers in Papua New Guinea for their perfect contributions in our lives.
Teachers are the backbone of any society.
They spearhead change by shaping and building students’ personalities and make them become ideal citizens.
As one looks at the greater impact of the growth, development and well-being of a student or nation, one should agree that teaching is a noble profession.
They are not only confined to the four walls of the classroom, but teachers stand by us in every step we take in our journey in life to guide, motivate and inspire us to become better citizens of our nation.
There is a saying that goes, “we are born by our parents but we are thought how to live by our teachers.”
They teach us, they scold at us, punish us, and they continue to refine us.
I cannot imagine living a better life without teachers.
Every teacher deserves respect and praise.
I owe my success to all my teachers.
I take my hat off and I salute you all.
You are the engineers of knowledge and the mechanics of life.
Without you there would be no modernisation and the earth would not have been what it is today.
