Thanks, Ambang Catholic church and primary school

Letters, Normal

I WOULD like to thank and congratulate the Ambang Catholic church and primary school for the 50th anniversary which will be celebrated from Dec 20-25.
The golden jubilee is truly a good time to reflect the contributions of the Catholic church to building and improving spiritual, educational, cultural and economic well-being of the people of Tsenglap, North Waghi, Jiwaka and PNG as a whole.
Many educated elites who are products of this school, are now holding senior positions in Government, business and private sector, including church and community services.
Similarly, many children of Tsenglap who are currently studying in higher educational institutions throughout the country and abroad are the product of Ambang Primary School.
Fifty years on and the church and school are still functioning to serve the needs of the Tsenglap population.
As a Tsenglap tribesman and a product of Ambang Primary School, who is currently studying overseas, I am proud to have been associated with the school.
I am grateful the school has given me the foundation which is necessary for me to set my future career path.
I can now travel to places at great lengths and study in learning institutions within PNG and abroad.
Although I am not able to be back home physically to celebrate with you all, I am with you in my thoughts and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and joyous golden jubilee celebrations.
