Thanks for putting us up, people of Sikita
THIS year’s Enga cultural show attracted many groups led by the famous Sili Muli, which displayed the colours of a unique and diversified culture.
We would like to thank the sponsors, the EPG, show committee, police and the J. Siki Oval community, the Apulin Sikita tribe including the Aipus police barracks and Newtown suburb for hosting the show successfully for the second time without any disturbance.
Although the people were in grief over the loss of a prominent community leader on the eve of the show, yet the local community took the responsibility to carry on.
Apart from the venue, stalls, security and crowd control, lodging was one of the important services provided by the community for all the participants and visitors.
It is a fact that many people failed to acknowledge those behind the scene.
As such, we, the participants and visitors acknowledge the hospitality and peaceful atmosphere.
We also like to convey our sincere condolences to the Sikita community and relatives over the recent loss.
