The art of waiting

Letters

WAITING is not our strong point.
In Papua New Guinea, most people equate waiting with waste, a waste of time.
In the land of the unexpected where time is money, we don’t want to wait.
If life asks us to wait, we get nervous – and guilty.
We, the border-sharing villages between Eastern Highlands and Madang should be doing something to sustain our livelihood.
We now call upon the three namesakes of Peter as the CEOs of Madang (Peter Yama), Eastern Highlands (Peter Numu) and Papua New Guinea (Peter O’Neill) to attend to our concerns and get us to do something.
